The United States Social Security Administration provides payment of disability benefits to disabled insured individuals and, in some cases, their dependents. If you have a condition or disability that prevents you from working, you may be eligible to receive government assistance in the form of Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits. In some instances, you may also be entitled to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

SD pays a monthly cash amount to people who are totally disabled. In most cases, you must have a serious enough condition that you are prevented from working at least a year.

SSI pays a monthly cash amount to help aged, blind, or disabled people who have little or no other income or resources. It provides cash to meet basic needs of food, clothing and shelter.

If you are entitled to SSD, your spouse, children, or other dependents may be entitled to benefits as well. SSI benefits, however, are based on the needs of the individual and are only paid to the qualifying person.

The Social Security approval process can be very long and aggravating. Your medical records must be submitted, and you may need an evaluation by a Vocational Examiner. Without proper documentation and presentation, it is likely that a claim for benefits will be denied. We will prepare your case and present it to the Administrative Law Judge to give you the best chance of receiving the benefits you deserve.

The process often takes more than a year. Given the amount of work involved with attaining Social Security Disability benefits, it is important that you contact us and let us get started on your case right away.

While trying to find my way within the legal system, Bryan Ramey was a tremendous help with a legal matter. He was very forthcoming and knew exactly what I needed since I do not know legal jargon. I highly recommend him for all your legal needs. Steven Guthrie
